The Appraisal I found myself privy, Once, to this overt secret, “A culprit’s being brought to justice”, they hushed, Hurriedly handing me a leaflet ! I sat in the court Of oak and cedar; people in yin -yang dressing, These robes told tales of good in bad, And of wolves in sheep’s clothing ! The spineless world, bestowed justice, Judged the accused from a pedestal, “Summon the murderess ! Committed has she, a crime immoral ! ” A figure drifted in, clothed in white, Noiselessly, through the doors, And calmly climbed the lectern, Amidst angry uproars !
