Unsettled Queries

Would You Still Love Me? Would you still love me? Knowing the pillow on my bed, Has heard the many lovely words, I should’ve told you instead?   Would you still love me? If the heavens made us part, Or if I painted a teary picture, And gifted you that piece of art?   Would you still love me? If we were the moon and sun, Day after day, night after night, But never together as one?   Would you still love me? If I kept from you, mysteries I’m forced to keep, But told you, the moonlight brought them to you, Each night you sleep?

Fail to Falter

A Quantum of Solace… Neither beauty, nor aura, nor grace, All I ask for, is a Quantum of Solace!   I sit and admire, the cloud’s silver lace, The heart slows to hit its pace, Myself, for the imminent storm, I don’t brace, Maybe, it offers a Quantum of Solace?   Dark clouds hover then, masking the sunset, I see the lightning and the greys, Rain drops fall – the storm’s testimony, In the thunder I search, for a Quantum of Solace!   So are you the lighthouse of the storm? Or the siren at sea, I cannot hope from? There’s a void in my heart, can you take its place? In you, might I find, my quantum of solace?

Pondering and Penning Down...

For Your Eyes Only I view this universe, through stained glass, A spectrum of fuchsia, crimson and azure, Sketch this world, in curves, dots and dashes- Admire the works, the clouds conjure! Some days I bleed onto the parchment, On others, mirth, this verse radiates, Platonic feelings, uncommon meanings, Each word, delineates ! Metaphorical, ironical, these sights beckons, Each strives for dedicated descriptions, But a singular thought underlies, This messenger’s interpretations! Free are you, at will, to infer, That in which you find blissful beauty, This was a sliver of the world, from a poetess’ eyes, For your eyes only!

Whims and Fancies

Credible Surmises Some souls love so deeply, The curl of your happy lips stays longer, They weave so intricate with your heartstrings, Paradise: with them an evening saunter!   Some souls love so gently, Unbeknownst, you change for the better, On you intellect, scorched by judgment, Their words: rain’s soothing patter!   Such souls love without expectations, They find happiness in minutiae, Their ebullience and elation, Takes your breath away!   These souls are delicate yet battle scarred, Seem to live in blissful ignorance, But unknown to you, they hide inside, A wave of longing and poignance!     Caress them not in folds of satin words, Nor in bourgeois possessions, Stay with them through skies pink and grey, You’ll have, till death, their allegiance!
