A Soul Made of Stardust...

The Girl Who Never Stopped Smiling

Spring in her step, she walks down the hall,
In excited voices, her name they call,
Perfection is not her forte, but she keeps trying,
She is the girl who never stopped smiling!

And there, at the back bench,
They talk of her once or twice,
She is amicable, not fun they say,
But to everyone she’s nice!

Cheerful as ever, they’ve seldom seen her cry,
She greets all courteously, if she passes by,
To those who know her inside-out, her eyes give her away,
They can tell without doubt, she kept her hurt at bay!

She’s been through times memorable,
Some rather defiling,
But maybe she’s happy as she is,
The girl who never stopped smiling!

So when I look at her tomorrow,
She’ll respond gracefully,
Not for a minute will she quiver,
As the girl who never stopped smiling,
Looks back from the mirror!

Quiver- tremble or shake with a slight rapid motion
